I stumbled upon this product in my local Publix supermarket on a recent shopping trip. I was intrigued by the “pure blended fruit to go” and “all natural, no sugar added” messaging on the front of the package. So I decided to give it a try. The twins loved it! It was convenient no doubt, but they also had a lot of fun squeezing the fruit puree from the tube directly into their mouth.
Here is what we like about this product -
- Super convenient, kid-friendly and fun
- No added sugar, all real fruit
- Contains fiber
- Does not need to be refrigerated if unopened. After opening, you can keep the leftover in the fridge for 24 hours
- No preservatives, no colorings, no additives, no fat, no GMO, nothing artificial
- Several fruit options available
Here is what we don’t like about this product -
- Can be a little messy if the child squeezes the tube before putting the open top end in the mouth
- High cost; 1 packet costs over a dollar
- It is not organic
Overall, we like it even though the cost is high. It can be a convenient healthy snack your child can enjoy once in a while.

Interesting. Are these better than, say, a Juicy Juice box? Tommy loves these — they don’t seem to have added sugar but contain lots of “juice concentrate” (i.e. fructose?) Maybe the nutritional value of juice boxes (or juices in general) would be a good topic? Meanwhile, I will look for the Buddy Fruits.
I love fruit pouches! They can be a great way to get kids to eat more fruit, and I find them especially useful traveling when it isn’t always easy or convenient to haul around fresh fruit.
A question for you…I can’t find an ingredient list anywhere on their website. Are all of these fruit pouches apple based? Nothing wrong with that (especially since you aren’t losing the fiber and other good stuff like you do in a juice), but how do the other flavors hold up to the apple flavor?

Here is what the nutrition label says on the fruit pouch I have (Apple Cinnamon) -
Serving Size = 1 pouch
Calories = 60
Total Fat = 0
Sodium = 10 mg
Total Carbohydrates = 15 g
Dietary Fiber = 1g
Sugars = 14 g
Protein = 0 g
the thing that would bother me is the waste from the packaging..something you don’t get with fresh fruit..
Great point Athanasia! I wonder about the same. I think part of the reason this product is so expensive is because of packaging and marketing. I am sure there is a lot of room to innovate and bring that cost down.
