Tommy likes Midori, our little neighborhood Japanese joint. Every time we drive past he yells “sushi!!”

2 Kathy March 21, 2010 at 1:02 pm

He loves the “sushi” (tamago — fried egg and unagi, cooked eel. No raw stuff yet). His other favorites are miso soup and edamame. Plus the staff adores him!… See More

3 Kathy March 21, 2010 at 1:02 pm

My cousin in NYC has a two-yr-old and I recommended Little Stomaks to her. Marco is adopted from Guatamala, so if they sign up he’d make a great “Global Toddler”.

Keep up the great work!

4 Roli March 21, 2010 at 5:45 pm

Our favorite restaurant is Nagasaki Inn in EVV. Both Tanvi and Maansi love the Hibachi grill along with the special Japanese dressing on the salad. The Hibachi chef usually does the same tricks – “volcano” with Onion rings as well as some knife tricks that the girls enjoy e.g. watching the shrimp tail land in the chef’s hat.

5 Roli March 21, 2010 at 5:45 pm

Favorite Meal: Tanvi loves the Hibachi fried rice and chicken teriyaki along with the stir fried Zucchini. Maansi loves the tuna rolls sushi, miso soup along with the stir fried zucchini and/or bean sprouts…. See More

6 Roli March 21, 2010 at 5:46 pm

I will send a few requests to some friends/family I know with little ones.

7 megan March 21, 2010 at 5:57 pm

Our favourite Child friendly restaurant is La Fiamma Pizza in Bellingham Washington. We live in Vancouver but will drive all the way down there on a whim…

8 megan March 21, 2010 at 6:04 pm

9 Sarah G March 22, 2010 at 6:26 am

Our favorite kid-friendly restaurant is Red Robin. They provide crayons, activity sheets, cool kid drinking cups…and, generally, the atmosphere is upbeat and kid welcoming.

10 Sarah G March 22, 2010 at 6:28 am

Hmm, my daughter usually eats off my plate – she’s still at the stage where she would rather eat what we have than what’s in front of her. :) But, generally, she prefers grilled chicken.

11 Liz - meal makeover mom March 22, 2010 at 7:42 am

I don’t think my kids have a favorite restaurant meal since they tend to try new things whereever we go. Rather than order off the “kids” menu, they often split a Caesar salad to start the meal and then split an adult entree. Now that they’re older and their appetites are growing, the splitting thing is winding down. On a recent night out to a local Mexican restaurant, my 11-year old split the fish tacos with my husband and my soon-to-be 15 year old had his own dish of chicken enchiladas.

12 Tammy March 22, 2010 at 8:12 am

I could use some more St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

13 saraloud March 22, 2010 at 8:44 am

We go to a local chain called “Joe’s”. She calls it the “Kings Crown” a la “Fancy Nancy”!

14 saraloud March 22, 2010 at 8:44 am

My daughter will eat almost anything but lately she really loves spaghetti and meatballs.

15 blueviolet March 22, 2010 at 9:44 am

My fave kid-friendly restaurant is Red Robin. They are awesome cause not only do they have an amazing, delicious menu, but it is a fun and colorful atmosphere and their servers are the best!!! I do, however, wish they wouldn’t sing the birthday song all the time, the last time we were there we must’ve heard it 20 times lol, not kidding!

22 Justine March 22, 2010 at 11:46 am

My son’s fave meal usually consists of appetizers like fried cheese sticks, onion rings, and nachos. I let my kids eat whatever they want cause we rarely go out to dinner so it’s no big deal if it’s not very healthy.

I have a four-year-old, a three-year-old, and a two-year-old and I find it impossible to go out to eat (with them along) AND enjoy my meal at the same time. 126 Denise B. March 28, 2010 at 1:18 pm

Our daughter’s favorite is either something with macaroni or salad topped with chicken and cheese. What’s disappointing about many restaurants is that they serve Kraft macaroni and cheese for children. To me, that stuff is garbage. So, I always ask first what they serve as macaroni and cheese; so I don’t order it unless it’s the real stuff.
