Favorite Foods Fruit – apples, mango, banana, grapes, peaches, oranges, etc.
Vegetables – peas, corn, sweet potatoes, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, etc.
Cereal – kashi, kix
Dairy Products – Milk (organic… generally Horizon)
Meats – Chicken/turkey (generally try to use organic/hormone free)
Snacks – FRuit-a-bu, raisins, goldfish/cheddar bunnies, sweet pickles
Fruit juice – No sugar added apple juice (but only a splash in a full cup of water)
Mom’s Favorite Recipe Whole grain rotini noodles, cooked. Ground turkey cooked. Add spaghetti sauce and ground turkey to the noodles and mix. The texture of the rotini helps the turkey to stick to it. I also usually add a cube or two of pureed spinach, sweet potato, carrot, or squash for some added veggies. It mixes into the sauce well. I create the cubes earlier in the week by pureeing and freezing the veggie in ice cube trays.
Nutritional Supplements Yes – Cod liver oil, coconut oil, ground flax seed

Question/advice for other moms/dads Be creative! Use fruits and veggies for snacks instead of the prepackaged stuff. Make smoothies for your kids for breakfast/lunch/or dinner and add avocado, spinach, etc to get good fats and vitamin rich foods into your child’s diet.
